A 2 nights 3 days safari visiting the Masai Mara Game Reserve for wildlife game drive, vast landscape and experience the culture of the Masai tribe. Safari starts from Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya to the Masai Mara.
Masai Mara is one of the world’s popular tourist destination best known for its annual wildebeest migration, the Big Five and vast wild animals in Kenya. The Mara eco-system stretches to Serengeti in Tanzania. The annual wildebeest migration happening between July and October, starts from Serengeti to Masai Mara with thousands of wildebeests, zebra and other grazers coming to Kenya for pastures. This is where the Nile crocodiles, lions and cheetahs get to pray on the wildebeests and the zebras while crossing the Mara River.
The tour is in either 4×4 safari minivan or land cruiser jeep depending on your style of safari.
Our tour driver/guide will pick you up at 7:30am in your hotel or airport in Nairobi..
The drive is through the Great Rift Valley where we shall have a stop to marvel the beauty of the Rift and take photos.
We shall descent on the floor of the Rift valley as we head to the Masai land. Local farmlands and homesteads can be seen along the way to Mara.
We arrive at our lodge/camp in time for hot lunch, relax in the lodge as we wait for the evening game drive where animal are most active and good scenic view for camera clicks.
Evening shall be at your chosen lodge/tented camp.
We shall enjoy a full day tour in the Mara eco-system. Possibilities of sighting the big five in Masai Mara are higher than any other parks/ reserves in Kenya. We shall be in search for giraffes, zebras, hippos, warthogs, cheetahs, leopards, rhinos, buffalos among many other wildlife present at the Mara.
A visit to the Mara river or Mara Talek is in schedule where we sight pods of hippopotamus and if we are lucky, crocodiles as well. We shall take our picnic lunch near the river as we enjoy sights and sounds of nature.
Our driver guide shall tell you the African stories of the wild as you traverse the plains of Mara.
He will answer all your questions in regards to different species of wild animals and birds.
Our radio communication in our safari vehicle will help the tour guide know of any sightings by other tour guides therefore increasing the chances of seeing lots of wild animals.
Overnight shall be at your chosen lodge/camp.
We rise up early to catch the African sunrise on our last day of safari. Search for other wildlife that not sighted in the previous two days of our safari. We shall head back for breakfast in the lodge and check out with our packed lunch.
Game viewing drive as we say goodbye to the Mara eco-system on our way back to Nairobi. We shall have lunch en-route Nairobi.
