Our 4 days, 3 nights safari combines walking safari, boat ride, bicycle ride, trekking and wildlife game viewing at Lake Naivasha and Masai Mara.
We shall start with the activities as you still have the energy to cycle, trek and walk while viewing wildlife in close proximity at the Lake Naivasha.
We shall proceed to Masai Mara Game Reserve, where we sight the big five; lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, buffalo, plus many other wild animal species found in the Mara ecosystem.
Our safari shall be in a customized 4×4 safari minivan fitted with UHF radio for better communication and pop up roof top that allows you to watch wildlife and photograph with ease.
Your safari driver guide will pick you up at 7:30am from your hotel or airport in Nairobi.
Scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley where we shall have a stop to view and photograph.
Proceed to Lake Naivasha where we start with Hells Gate National Park, a relative small park in Kenya which can be explored on either foot, cycle or in the comfort of your safari vehicle.
We shall hire bicycles just near the park and cycle through the park with views of small game; giraffes, buffalo, zebra, impala, warthog…
On reaching the canyon on the other side if the park, we shall trek on foot with a professional tour guide as he/she explains the formation of the canyon and history of hells gate.
We shall have lunch in your lodge at Lake Naivasha. Proceed for a boat ride in the lake. There are lots of birds in the lake with pods of hippopotamus. We shall visit the Crescent Island where we take a guided walking safari with views of giraffes, zebra, impala, buffalo, waterbuck.
Overnight at your chosen lodge/camp in Lake Naivasha.
After breakfast we proceed to the great Masai Mara game reserve. We drive through the floor of Rift Valley with amazing views of local homesteads and farmlands.
Arrive in time for hot lunch at your safari lodge/camp. Afternoon rest at the lodge as we wait for the evening game drive where wild animals are most active and great for photography.
At 4:00pm we head for the game drive in search of the big five; lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and rhino. Masai Mara is best known wildlife reserve which you can see lots of wild animals with breathtaking landscapes.
The magical wildebeest migration happens yearly between July and October where gnus, zebras among other grazers migrate from Tanzania’s Serengeti to Kenya’s Masai Mara.
Overnight shall be at your safari lodge/camp.
We shall rise early for breakfast and head for a full day wildlife game viewing drive to explore the vastness of the Mara plains.
Our safari minivans and land cruisers are fitted with radio UHF transmission for easy communication among safari driver guides and help when animal are sighted. The roof tops also helps in viewing wildlife and photography.
A visit to the Mara River is in schedule to view pods of hippopotamus and crocodiles in the banks of the river.
Between July and October, we shall sight the wildebeest crossing from Serengeti to Masai Mara in thousands.
We shall have our picnic lunch near the river. Game viewing drives are unlimited, we go on searching for wildlife. In Masai Mara, you can see elephants, lion pride, leopard, cheetah (if you are lucky you can see the 5 cheetah brothers usually hunting together) buffalo, hyena, ostrich, impala, zebra, giraffe, black-backed jackal, serval cat, wildebeest, voltures, eagles, crocodile, hippopotamus, topi, Thomson’s gazelle…
We shall be in the look out for the African sunset as we head back to the lodge/camp.
Our final day of safari. We shall have our breakfast and check out with packed lunch. Head for a game drive in search of more wildlife.
Option of visiting a Masai Village is available at extra cost as we head back to Nairobi.
We shall have our packed lunch enroute to Nairobi.
Drop off at your hotel or airport early evening.
